St. Lucian Association of London (1963)

Membership of the Association is open to all St. Lucians and their families residing in Great Britain. (The term “Great Britain” is employed to embrace the territories of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).

For the purposes of this Association, a person shall be deemed to be a St. Lucian who qualifies:

  • By birth.
  • By naturalisation
  • By descent.
  • By marriage.
  • By ordinary residence in St. Lucia for not less than five years.

QUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Membership will be limited to persons of good character. Membership will not be extended to, or may be withdrawn from, persons known to be engaged in activities of a criminal nature, or associated with activities which may be hostile to, or inconsistent with, the interests or policies of the United Kingdom and St. Lucia.

Every candidate who has been accepted for membership shall be deemed to have pledged that he/she will abide by, and obey, the regulations of the Association then in force and agreed by the General Body.

Every member can obtain a copy of the rules of the Association on request, upon payment of a fee to be agreed upon from time to time by the Executive Committee of the Association.
